About Farming is Life

A certified organic regenerative farm adjacent to over 4,000 acres of state-owned land, providing nutrient-dense, locally grown, and culturally responsive food.

Rooted in Community

Our approach to growing food

At Farming is Life, our focus is on producing nutrient-dense, delicious food that is not suitable for long-term storage or transport, thereby ensuring maximum freshness and nutritional value. Our current food system relies heavily on non-locally grown produce, which we aim to change.

We offer fruits and vegetables that are both familiar and unique, sourced through selective seed procurement and the "land race" technique to adapt to our microclimate.

Whether you're picking up fresh vegetables at the farm stand, joining a workshop, or volunteering in the fields, you're part of the Farming is Life family.

What We Believe

Our Mission

Sustainable Growing

We nurture our soil and practice regenerative agriculture to grow the healthiest, most flavorful produce possible.

Community First

Everything we do is about bringing people together around food. From farm dinners to volunteer days, community is at our core.

Food Access

We believe fresh, nutritious food should be available to everyone. SNAP/EBT accepted. Local food for local people.
